LEKISHON OUTREACH
a 501-c-3 non profit organization supporting marginalized communities in Uganda and Kenya
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide financial assistance for projects and education, associated with marginalized people in developing countries, and to help facilitate sustainable microenterprise and the achievement of at least a high school education and preferably an advanced education in a diversity of fields, including conservation and wildlife management and eco-tourism.
PROGRAMS

Victory Africa Ministries (VAM)
Kabale, Uganda
Through homes for orphaned and street children and the nursery and primary school, as well as educational sponsorships through secondary school and post graduate courses of study, VAM provides education, room and board, and comprehensive social services to marginalized children and families.
Additionally, VAM provides microenterprise training and start up funds for women heads of household. For just an average of $200, you can help a woman start a sustainable agri-business venture and empower her with the means to adequately provide for her family.
NEW! Just recently, VAM launched a golf program for 30 students in VAM’s educational sponsorship program. These students are receiving regular golf instruction by a professional golfer and practice at a local golf club, and ultimately will field a golf team and compete in local and regional competitions. In addition to providing an outlet for physical activity, this unique program will provide valuable life skills, including self-confidence, discipline, teamwork and responsible leadership.
All of these programs help break the cycle of poverty, uplift young people and create healthier families.

Educational Sponsorships
Maasai Lands, Kenya
Sponsor students through high school and, if possible, advanced education. Currently, sponsors are supporting students, from backgrounds of abject poverty, in high school, nursing school and technical university and already seeing the results of transformed lives through education.
Access to education is the antidote to the cycle of poverty in marginalized communities. Unfortunately, education is not free in Kenya, and, for marginalized communities, the required tuition is an unsurmountable barrier. Educational sponsorships ranging from $350 to $790 per year, depending on the educational level, are a gamechanger for most young people. For our Maasai friend Ole Ronkei, an educational sponsorship from grade 5 through high school provided the academic foundation for pursuing an education at the University of Oregon and ultimately acquiring a PhD in Communication and a productive career in global development. To unleash a young person’s potential is the best investment possible.

Pakishu Women Organization
Enoosaen, Kenya
Provides educational opportunities to girls who have dropped out of school due to pregnancy and/or early marriages, while supporting the mothers of the girls through microenterprise, such as beadwork, as they care for their grandchildren.

Pakishu Women Training Center
Enoosaen, Kenya
Construct a technical training center for girls and women, especially those who have dropped out of formal education, and provide alternative, non-traditional life-skills to engender self-reliance. Technical skills training to be offered includes welding, carpentry, plumbing, sewing, and more.

The Maa Trust
Kenya
Lekishon Outreach is most thrilled to announce its newest partnership with The Maa Trust that is also doing seminal work with primarily youth and women in Maasai Mara. We have just awarded them with a grant in the amount of $25,000 to provide safety, career guidance and sexual and reproductive education to youth in 10 schools, as well as, Street Business School microenterprise education to women, which aligns perfectly with Lekishon Outreach’s mission.
Please see their lovely website that describes their extensive programs, developed through grassroots outreach and research and investment in strategies that are most needed and wanted by local communities and efficacious: TheMaaTrust.org
